Last night my wife and I sat down to meditate around 7 PM after we put our daughter to bed. Our dogs hadn’t settled down, but we started anyway. The dogs were play fighting in the middle of the living room floor. I have been using music from moontribe to meditate so it’s not guided and there are no song breaks. I just do things when I think they should be done. I start with relaxation, then I become aware of my body, and finally I visually the prana in the room and imaging it being attracted to me. Then I start by moving my awareness to my lower chakra. I don’t touch my chakras anymore; I just focus on this spot inside my body where my chakras are located.
Almost immediately my consciousness shifted to a higher gear. My brain was very quiet and everything seemed very still. I have hit this state many times before. I call this state cave diving. My brain feels like a very cool, very deep, very calm pool of water in a cave that extends down in the earth for hundreds of feet. I got this analogy from learning to cave dive in Florida long ago. Florida is full of underground caves, filled with fresh water that is very cold and never affected by the weather. It’s always calm and still, at least until a diver who is not mindful stirs up the silt on the bottom. Then visibility is reduced from three hundred feet to zero.
Then the phone rang and my wife stopped meditating to answer the phone. The dogs were still play-fighting. But these things didn’t affect my state of consciousness. And then my consciousness shifted again to a gear I have never hit before. I will try to describe what happened next as best I can using my brain. I felt like I had slowed down so much that things suddenly got wicked fast. I think that I may have shifted from thinking with my brain from thinking with my energy mind. I would describe my consciousness in this state as glycerin instead of water. But even more fluid, more lubricated.
Then the center of my awareness moved to an energy probe a few miles south of my house about a thousand feet above the river. This had happened before but this time was different. I was getting much more data. I was “seeing” the river, the canyon and the surrounding area. But things were more clear and more in focus than my previous times. Everything looked like daylight even though it was currently dark. My “vision” was much sharper than my previous out of body experiences. I felt like I had upgraded my psychic sensing to High Def. There was so much data I couldn’t take everything in.
Then the dogs started barking and I down shifted and my awareness moved back to my body. I finished my meditation but I didn’t reach the same state again.
