Anomalies and Energy Beings

Most spiritual seekers I know have a deep desire for experiences. It’s as if our DNA has ancient knowledge that a profound experience will speed our development. So we attend retreats, travel to supernatural places and purchase classes on how to perform different techniques. Having experiences is critically important, but so is having the knowledge and framework to understand and interpret what has happened.

June 12, 2008. 3:30 PM. I was at a spiritual retreat with 6 other people taught by Eric Pepin. Eric had called the week “boot camp” because it’s raw and unfiltered. There weren’t any handlers or schedules. Nothing between us and Eric. We had just finished lunch after checking in to the Grand Lodge hotel in Forest Grove. The place was full of interesting art and intriguing energy.

After lunch Eric gave us a break for a few hours. It was the third day of the retreat and I was already having a hard time digesting and retaining all the information. So I went to my room to lie down (in the Lavender Lady room). The weather was perfect and the sun was out. The wind was blowing cool air in from the Pacific Ocean. The temperature was just right for pants or shorts. I opened the window to my room to let in the fresh air and laid down.

Eric mentioned at lunch he planned to go to the soaking pool during our break. It turned out the window of my room was just above the soaking pool. Several students followed Eric to the pool. I heard their voices as I closed my eyes. I didn’t follow their conversation until Eric asked, “Did anyone see that?”

My psychic sensory kicked into full scan mode. I didn’t immediately notice anything until I started tuning into the students in the pool. An anomaly had moved across the pool, something potentially from another dimension. My brain started digesting the answers while Eric quizzed each person about what they saw from their perspective. In my minds eye, a 3D view appeared; blue vertical lines with some small horizontal crosses at the middle surrounded by light clear aura moving above the water from one end of the pool to the other. I think I perceived an amalgamation of what the others saw.

6 PM. Later that evening we gathered on the front steps of the Grand Lodge for more training. We discussed anomalies, ghosts, entities, and energy beings. Eric told us we should use a term like anomaly for things when we first encounter something. We shouldn’t use the other terms until later when we have had a change to review and dissect the experience. (Remember: always come up with 3 possibilities before beginning to analyze.) We don’t want to tag something with a suggestive name before we know what it actually is.

Eric also revealed that entities from another dimension need a power source to stay in this dimension. And we are that power source, the people in close proximity to the energy being when it appears. The more energy (prana) we have, the longer the entity can stay. Our energy gives them metaphorical “clothes” here. But not in the same way someone “vampires” your energy. It’s more like a light on a fish hook. If we are the bait on the hook, the brighter we illuminate, the more reflected light there will be off any “fish” in the area.

11 PM. Dinner and teaching finished around 11 PM. Then I started my 2 hours of scanning homework. At one point I walked through a completely dark room in the lodge scanning for any interesting energy. Daryl was sitting in the dark and I didn’t notice. He even kicked the table so it slid across the floor but it didn’t actually make any noise so I didn’t notice. The next morning at breakfast everyone teased me for not noticing and being psychically dull. When Eric showed up and heard what happened, he explained that after 3 days of being around Daryl all hours of the day, my energy accepted his energy as part of the normal environment… and I was looking for unusual energies; things not normally part of the environment.

4 AM. McMenamins hints that the Lavender Lady room is haunted in the description of the artwork associated with the room from the McMenamins Grand Lodge walking tour.

The Lavender Lady, as painted in life-size scale by Myrna Yoder, fits the description a construction worker gave of the elderly woman he saw cross this hallway during McMenamins’ 1999-2000 renovation of the property. Months earlier, all of the Home’s residents had been moved to a new facility. She should not have been here. And maybe her earthly body had passed on. Upon further investigation, the woman could not be found, but her lavender perfume lingered.

At 4 AM, I awoke suddenly and watched a bright blue orb slowly drift across my room from the outside wall to the hallway. After it disappeared through the wall I fell back asleep. Just one more interesting thing to be thankful for.
