I have been asked recently about emotions and emotional reactions. Reactions that were out of character. Within the last few months, I have become aware of how external energies affect my own state of consciousness and affect others. Eric Robison, author of “Bending God: A Memoir” started me on the road to this awareness.

Do you think that when you think about another person, they might be thinking about you at the same time?If you think about someone with an intense emotion, like love, lust, anger or fear, is it possible that this other person is having the same emotion? If you meditated on your chakras every day and raised your energy, would this increase the intensity of your emotional broadcasts to the people connected to your life?To the people in close physical proximity to you?

Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes.

One could think of our minds as the center of spider web with strands of webbing connecting to every person that was ever close to us in our lives. When we have intense emotions we shake this webbing and send energetic bursts of energy out that webbing to others. When others have intense emotions, they send this energy back to us. When this emotional energy is detected by our brain, our brain interprets the emotion as our own. Does this mean we will always be at the emotional mercy of those around us? No, we can train our brain to recognize the subtle difference in feeling between internally generated and externally generated emotions.

Assuming this is true, how could we prove it ourselves… prove it to our subconscious? The answer is simple. Learn to tell the difference. Just the fact that I made you aware of this outside influence on your emotional state makes it more likely that you will be aware of the effect. But I don’t think that is enough to learn the skill. What techniques could be devised to train someone? If your own thoughts may not have come from you, how do you change that?

I learned this technique from a new student who has been meditating for a few months. First, find someone to practice with. Your practice partner does not have to live anywhere near you, just know you well enough to create a “feeling” of you in their mind. Pick a day to practice. One person is the transmitter and the other person is the receiver. During the assigned day, the transmitter will think about the receiver and attempt to send the receiver energy two or three times during the day, and note the times. The receiver will pay attention to his or her own thoughts and attempt to discern the times that the transmitter is thinking about them. Later they compare notes and see what happened. A remarkably simple game that has remarkable results.

Another approach would be to pay attention to your own thoughts when around someone with an intense emotion. Does being around someone angry make you angry? Does this affect create the so-called “mob mentality”? It is actually possible to tune into the emotional broadcasts of the people around you. You could call the beginning levels of this empathy. Start by looking at the area around people’s eyes for clues. Paying attention to subtle clues to get you started; to makes yourself more aware. Eventually you can tune into this emotional broadcast without seeing the person.

Here is fascinating web site on Weather Modification by Indigenous people: Indigenous Weather Modification

From the FAQ page:

…any belief based on ignorance, including belief in outmoded paradigms, is of little value compared with knowledge derived from experience. For example, the materialist reductionist scientific paradigm was undermined by Einstein nearly 100 years ago and yet the majority of people, notably in the West, continue to live as though nothing has changed. This suggests a regression into a Dark Age mindset based on superstition and habit rather than an enlightened decision to embrace a more subtle and complex worldview resulting from the discoveries of quantum physics and the new sciences. “

There is much to read, research and contemplate at this web site including large scale weather manipulation by the mind alone, the rights of indigenous people to protect their intellectual property, and using the power derived from this heritage to push for governmental change.

From the movie “The Meaning of Life”:

[Large corporate boardroom filled with suited executives]

Exec #1: Item six on the agenda: “The Meaning of Life” Now uh, Harry, you’ve had some thoughts on this.

Exec #2: Yeah, I’ve had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we’ve come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren’t wearing enough hats. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person’s soul. However, this “soul” does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man’s unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Exec #3: What was that about hats again?

Exec #2: Oh, Uh… people aren’t wearing enough.

Exec #1: Is this true?

Exec #4: Certainly. Hat sales have increased but not pari passu, as our research…

Exec #3: [Interrupting] “Not wearing enough”? enough for what purpose?

Exec #5: Can I just ask, with reference to your second point, when you say souls don’t develop because people become distracted…

[looking out window]

Exec #5: Has anyone noticed that building there before.

Remarkable. One out two is not bad. Where do they get this stuff.

Hat’s restrict the aura around your head. Better not to wear one unless you need to.

From the Washington Post here.

HE EMERGED FROM THE METRO AT THE L’ENFANT PLAZA STATION AND POSITIONED HIMSELF AGAINST A WALL BESIDE A TRASH BASKET. By most measures, he was nondescript: a youngish white man in jeans, a long-sleeved T-shirt and a Washington Nationals baseball cap. From a small case, he removed a violin. Placing the open case at his feet, he shrewdly threw in a few dollars and pocket change as seed money, swiveled it to face pedestrian traffic, and began to play.

Notice how aware people are of changes in their surroundings. Notice how they fail to find beauty in things as they rush off to work. A large part of advancing spiritually is awareness. How aware are you? Would you notice? Would you stop to listen?

Occasionally there are movies that contain so much more than people realize. A few movies contain great spiritual lessons and people who see the movie do not even realize they are being taught a lesson. I recently saw a great spiritual movie masquerading as a Sci-Fi family movie, “The Last Mimzy”.

I would put “The Matrix”, “Dune” and both Star Wars trilogies in this category. There are spiritual themes in each of these movies that have reached hundreds of millions of people. People were learning about the matrix control system, bending reality, the Force, the dark side, etc. I saw “The Last Mimzy” on opening night in a mostly empty theater… and I was blown away. This movie caused my consciousness to shift and open doorways that don’t open that often. That has never happened to me in a movie before.

I almost didn’t go to this movie because I made the mistake of reading three or four reviews before the movie. But the baby sitter was already booked. Interestingly enough, the critics and everyone else called this film “sci-fi” and “eco-friendly” and compared it too “E.T.”, but not quite as good. I don’t think aliens that eating Reese’s Pieces are very interesting spiritually. Mimzy is. No one picked up on the fact that the much of the science in the movie is actually very advanced spiritual techniques.

The movie is based on the short story “Mimzy were the Borogoves” by Lewis Padget (a pen name for Henry Kuttner and his wife Catherine Moore). In the movie there are few opening scenes to layout the premise of the plot and introduce the characters. In one of the scenes, the young boy Noah (Chris O’Neil) and his friend are rinding a bus past the majestic Mt. Ranier. Interestingly everyone on the bus is taken up with their Gameboys, iPods, and Blackberries. The implication is that because of the pace of our society, no one is even aware of nature, or the negative effects man has had on nature.

The story really begins when a young boy Noah and his little sister Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn) discover an enclosed case from the future at the beach at their Whidbey Island weekend home. The box contains several items including a rag doll rabbit named Mimzy, training toys from the future that will only work for young children.

Just like advanced spiritual knowledge, people who are fixed in their beliefs about what is possible, become crystallized; they can now longer accept that reality is a matrix that can be changed. In fact, people’s beliefs can be so strong that there brain will change what they see. If someone sees a modern spiritual master perform a miracle, and they were not capable of believing it was possible, they would not see the it. Their brains were see something different. Just like Noah’s mom in the movie thought the toy that opens wormholes was just a rock instead of a complex crystal with a game inside controlled by your thoughts.

Soon Emma is causing energy vortexes by spinning rocks and learning from her rabbit doll Mimzy and Noah is tuning into the vibrational state of reality. This state of mind Noah shifts into is a real state of mind sometimes called the In Between. Amazingly, sound is the best way of propelling yourself there, and in the movie, the sound from this futuristic sea shell propels Noah there. When In Between, everything looks very surreal and your awareness is very focused by sound. The movie did a fabulous job of portraying the sound.

I don’t want to include any plot spoilers, and there are more spiritual themes than the ones I listed here. But I recommend that any spiritual seeker see this movie and pay attention to the details. There are literally dozens of details that keep you contemplating spiritual knowledge for days.

There are stories in many cultures of people affecting the weather (American Indian rain dances, Jesus calming the seas during a storm, Wizards creating fog to disguise troops before battle in Scandinavia and Korea). Is it possible?

Mind Storm

First some background. I have been mediating and a student of the Higher Balance material for 2 and 1/2 years. Before this time I had no training, experience or knowledge of any spiritual or new age groups. As part of my studies, I got the CD course called “Mind Storm“. I had Mind Storm for a while but hadn’t tried it. I think I was a little afraid that it wouldn’t work. Although when I first got the CDs, an inner voice kept telling me that I would be able to do this.

When my wife and I traveled to her parent’s house, I spent two days helping my father-in-law build barb wire fence. It was hard work and a little cold. One day after working for a few hours, I lay down in grass away from everyone else. Two of my dogs lay down on either side of me and my third dog lay down by my head. It was warm; lying on the sun-warmed ground, out of the wind. It was mostly sunny, with a few puffy white clouds overhead. I was zoning out for a while and then I realized it would be a perfect time to try cloud busting. Even though I hadn’t been able to meditate for 2 days.

I picked one cloud after another, six in all, and they just disappeared very quickly, in less than 60 seconds each time. I did this both with my eyes open and with my eyes closed. It all seemed very easy and a little anti-climatic. I had expected to be very excited when I first got this to work, but I wasn’t. I just wanted to write it in my journal down so I wouldn’t forget.

My experiences with cloud busting have been mostly limited to making small white puffy clouds vanish. Right now I think of it as more a parlor trick. But it is also a parlor trick that shows ordinary reality is not what most people believe. Modern science does have any explanation for how this could happen.

In about a ten minute period, I can make 5 or 6 small clouds disappear. I have tried this technique on many times and it has worked every time. I even tried it from inside my house, laying on a couch, looking out a window. I am somewhat reluctant to attempt larger displays of changing the weather because they might not work. I also think that if I tried to demonstrate this ability to someone it might not work because of my own doubt, and also perhaps because of the other persons doubt.

I prefer to have lots of positive feedback in my spiritual experiences. After all, these techniques are just a side show, my real goal is to serve the Universe, to serve God.

Most of my travels happen when I am at home. My travels are spiritual in nature, metaphysical you could say. But sometimes I physically travel places. And when I do, I find my metaphysical trips are that much more intense.

I sometimes travel for work and I generally don’t enjoy traveling, at least for work. Eating every meal at restaurants is hard on me and I often don’t sleep that well. But since I have found Higher Balance and Eric Pepin, I found that I do enjoy plane flights. There is something about traveling at 32,000 feet that increases your prana and lets you free yourself the collective reality we have created on this planet.

A year and a half ago, flying home from Italy, I had an excellent meditation. I could feel the prana flowing in to my chakras, raising my vibration. For a portion of my meditation, my awareness was outside my body, outside the airplane, astral traveling through the clouds outside the airplane. The flight was 6 or 7 hours long and after I finished meditating, the lady sitting next to me introduced herself. Her name was Hanneke and she lived and owned her own business Zumaya in the Netherlands. She taught NLP and energy work. After sounding her out for a while about her work and her beliefs, I told her about my astral travel experience. She replied, “that’s why I feel so comfortable with you. Ever since we boarded the plane I felt like I have been getting this great big hug from my mother. I wanted to curl up and put my head on your shoulder.” This was the first time someone outside of Higher Balance had noticed my energy that I am aware of.

Last fall I had another great experience, traveling to Chicago. I meditated for an hour or two during the flight. I spent some time during my meditation, viewing the airplane from outside the plane, above the wing. My view was so real, I had to check if I still had my eyes closed. I could look down and see the details of the terrain we were passing over. Often when I astral travel, I get so excited, I think, “this is so cool”. And as soon as I do, wham; my awareness gets slammed back into my body and the trip is over.

Then my astral travel experience progressed to a vision. This seldom happens to me. There were many flashes of people I do not know. They were all working on some big project that I could not recognize. I saw the “thing” they were working on in many different stages but I have no idea what it was. I got the feeling this was the future, maybe something I would be working on. These “flashes” were not the usual few millisecond bursts I get from my sixth sense, but long, lingering views were I cold try and memorize the details. At the end of the flight, I felt very awake and refreshed.

It’s often difficult to know if the stories you hear about are true. Fear of not being believed or perhaps not wanting new students to pursue certain skills, keeps many things like the superpower of sight from being talked about. But once you have had and can decode the experience yourself, you know. But decoding is difficult, because people don’t share their experiences.

I have heard about people sitting inside watching rain drops run down the window of their house, and they hit a perfect state of mind, and visually tune into the microscopic level inside the water drop; full of structures and life. I have also heard about people seeing things that were miles away as if they were standing right next to the object.

I believe our senses are not amplified to full power. Much of the information gathered is filtered out. When someone looses a sense, they say their other senses become much more acute. When I started meditating, I reached a point where the world became visually so much brighter and more vivid, like switching from regular TV to HD TV. I have also had, on occasion, similar experiences with smell and hearing.

This spring, I was sitting outside in a park, meditating. I was sitting in the grass, my headphones on, and music playing. It was one of the first warm days of spring, the sun was shining; the wind was cool and gusting lightly. I was relaxed and my brain was quiet. My dog was lying next to me, with her head on my lap. Everything was perfect.

When I meditate, I use the Foundation meditation scheme. It takes four hours to explain, but quickly the setup is:

  • sit half-lotus style
  • eyes closed
  • listen to a properly mixed music track

The meditation itself involves the phases:

  • relaxation
  • focus on the body
  • focus on the prana around you
  • touch or focus on the lower chakra
  • then middle chakra
  • and finally mind chakra
  • finish with surrendering to the Universe

Great Meditations Contain 7 Essential Elements

When I reached my heart chakra, I was rewarded with feelings of love, joy and bliss. I normally stay so focused on my chakras, that I can’t hear the music or notice my other senses. When I switched to my mind chakra, my vision came into focus. I checked, my eyes were still closed. But I suddenly saw, as if my eyes were open, bright white light; pure, uplifting, energetic white light. And as I tuned into my eyes and this field of white light, I could make out that it was filled with a number of round cellular structures, separated by space. I could see inside the cells; I could see the cell walls. And everything was moving, although the formation of the cells generally stayed the same.

It was absolutely amazing. At the time, I did not speculate on what I was seeing; I just remained in non-thought and experienced. Afterwards, I didn’t focus on what I saw too much, I just let it percolate in my mind. I slowly started to realize that I had tuned into the fluid inside of my eyeballs on a microscopic level. And after talking to many other people with the same and different visual experiences, I realize that this was probably what I did see.

Many spiritual teachers do not teach skills like the superpower of sight. And when the student stumbles onto these kinds of things, the teacher often will not explain what happened. They do want their student sidetracked on their voyage to higher consciousness. But I think it is important to talk about things and get things into the open. The age for keeping spiritual knowledge secret is passed. We have to find spiritual seekers and teach them the skills they need to develop, so they can reach what they are desperately looking for.
